Sleep supplements have become popular amongst bodybuilders and other athletes because it helps them improve sleep quality.
One of those supplements is Rested AF by Steel Supplements. This product combines several ingredients to optimize rest.
We’re going to take a scoop of this product before bedtime to see if it works.
Steel supplements are known for selling many different bodybuilding supplements. One of the products they carry is a sleep aid product, Rested AF.
In the formula, you will find several ingredients that are said to help optimize sleep. The most mentionable and effective ingredients are Phenibut, Gamma-aminobutyric Acid (GABA), and Mucuna Pruriens.
We want to know how good this product is at boosting overall sleep quality. For example, after you’ve taken a high stimulant pre-workout, you can take a product like this to assist with sleeping.
Allow us to walk you through our experience.
We advise Hibernate by Huge Nutrition if you’re looking for a high-quality sleep supplement.
My Experience With Rested AF
As with all the supplements we review, we actually buy a bottle to give you guys our opinion on the effects and results.
So, we got ourselves a bottle of Rested AF by Steel Supplements.
First thing I want to point out that it’s $50 for a bottle. I consider this to be quite expensive compared to the alternatives, so it better be worth it.
The flavor is Fruit Punch, and it tasted alright. I downed a scoop and went to bed about 20 minutes later.
I slept about a total of 6 to 7 hours, and it was deep. On average, I wake up 1 to 2 times per night. That wasn’t the case while I took Rested AF.
Upon waking up, I felt that I had a good night’s rest. The only downside was that I experienced a slight headache and brain fog, which lasted several hours.
Rested AF Contains Phenibut, which might cause this; I’m not sure. It made me not want to try it twice because it was annoying, and I struggled with focusing.
But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it. It’s an adequately formulated product that does as it says.
Will Rested AF Cause Side Effects?
Of course, you’re going to want to know if this product can be used safely.
The answer is yes, but Rested AF does contain several ingredients that might require your attention.
Phenibut, for example, is a central nervous system depressant. It’s very potent and might be too intense for some.
Make sure to check the ingredients to see if it’s something you want to take.
As for side effects, I personally experienced slight headache & brain fog the day after, which lasted for several hours. I will be taking it once again soon to see if it happens again.
It does seem to vary per user if they have issues the day after. I’ve seen reviews where people don’t experience it, and some wherein the user does experience the brain fog.
Should You Use Rested AF?
You can try out Steel Rested AF. It contains several ingredients that will cause a deep sleep, but you might experience a mental fog after waking up in the morning.
I found that fog to be quite annoying; therefore, I don’t like using it every day.
I will take it now and then, but we’re sticking to Hibernate by Huge Nutrition for regular use.
We found Hibernate to be the best sleep supplement for bodybuilding for daily use.
It also significantly boosts sleep quality, I didn’t have any issues the day after using it. For me, that is a game-changer because I obviously want to have full focus the next day.
If you plan on using either of these products, make sure to take them roughly 30 minutes before going to bed.
In these 30 minutes, the ingredients will start to build up in your system, and you will fall asleep faster.
The Bottom Line
Getting enough rest is critical when it comes to building muscle, strength, and recovery.
Sleep supplements such as Rested AF can help athletes improve their overall performance.
We’ve tested the supplement, and it worked for boosting sleep, but we experienced a mental fog the day after. Not everybody might experience this.
We are convinced that Hibernate is the supplement for athletes to enhance their sleep quality. It also doesn’t contain any ingredients that will cause negatives the day after using it.
