What Is Dark Energy Pre Workout?
Contents
You probably already know that there are hundreds of different pre workout supplements on the market.
Not all of them are powerful, but some contain stimulants that can massively impact your workout performance.
One of those products is Dark Energy.
It’s so popular because it contains the prohibited stimulant DMAA (1,3 Dimethylamylamine).
Written on the bottle is that the product is for research only and not for human consumption.
We’re not sure why it would say that.
Let’s check out the ingredients and find out what it’s all about.
Dark Energy Ingredients
As somebody who has probably tried over 50 different pre-workouts, I found that Dark Energy relied too much on just stimulants.
When you take a look at the ingredients, you’ll understand what I mean. Take a look.
As you can see, it contains 200mg of DMHA and 60mg of DMAA. That is already a significant amount of two powerful stimulants.
You can still find DMHA in some supplements, and it’s typically dosed at 50 to 150mg.
DMAA is prohibited and can’t be put in supplements, so who knows where they are producing this stuff.
On top of that, they’ve also added 400mg caffeine, which is about twice as much as your regular pre.
In my opinion, everything combined is just too much. I experienced a short rush, which was followed by a hard crash.
You’re much better off with a high stim pre-workout like Wrecked by Huge Nutrition. It has a 20-gram serving size with a lot of quality stimulants, pump, and focus ingredients.

What Pre Workout Do We Recommend?
I like it when a pre-workout hits hard, but not too much. I’m a bit of a stim junkie myself but prefer to stay away from the products that are over the top.
In my opinion, Wrecked is the best pre-workout out there right now.
Just as with the dark energy pre workout, it contains stimulants, but it doesn’t rely solely on them.
Many other ingredients in Wrecked make it a complete formula, giving you a great workout.
On the official product page, you can learn more about the wide variety of ingredients. One full scoop is 20 grams, which is a massive serving size compared to the alternatives.
Plus, it’s also a lot cheaper. If you’re looking for a solid pre-workout to help take your performance to the next level, check out Wrecked instead.

Should You Use Dark Energy?
Of course, you can use the Dark Energy pre-workout, if you’re a fan of DMAA and DMHA combined.
I’ve tried it once, and now the bottle is just sitting there. I paid $50 for it, but for me, it ended up being too much.
Even though I’m a massive fan of high stimulant products, the combination of the two potent compounds caused a short rush in energy, followed by fatigue after just 30 minutes of using it.
I’m sticking to Wrecked since it gives me the right amount of energy, pumps, focus, and doesn’t cause a crash afterward.

The Final Verdict
Pre-workout supplements are a great way to help you get the most out of your training sessions.
The dark energy pre-workout by Life Magnitude Sciences is one of the more potent ones and can cause a massive energy rush.
It contains two stimulants, DMAA & DMHA, which are quite popular amongst athletes.
We’ve tried it and found it to be a bit too much. In our opinion, a product like Wrecked is a much better alternative.
