1-Andro Guide: Benefits, Results & Side Effects

1-Andro, known as 1-DHEA or 1-Androsterone, is an androgen prohormone. It is a metabolite of 1-Testosterone.

Athletes use it to help them improve lean muscle tissue, strength, and performance.

It became popular because it’s one of the few legal prohormones still available.

In this article, we’re going to show you further if this compound is worth using or not.

I’ll also share my personal opinion on the effectiveness and what has worked even better when it comes to making gains.

What Results Can You Expect?

The results you can get from a 1-Andro cycle depends on several factors such as diet, training, dosage, and genetics.

On average, you can gain roughly 5lbs of lean muscle mass with an 8-week cycle.

I’ve seen before and after pictures that have gained slightly more.

But, you will have to train hard and eat right since it’s not a magic pill.

Personally, I gained 6lbs of mass at 200mg per day for eight weeks. I managed to keep nearly all of the muscle mass gained.

Right now, I’m running my second cycle of Sapogenix and have already gained the same amount of mass and still have two weeks left.

1-Andro Cycle & Dosage Info

If you want to get the most out of your cycle, it’s crucial to know how to use 1-Androsterone.

First, you need to decide on how long you want to run your cycle. On average, athletes run it for 6 to 8 weeks.

If it’s the first time you’re using a legal prohormone like this, we recommend starting with 6 weeks.

Secondly, you have to decide on what dosage you want to use. The recommended 1-Andro dosage is between 100 to 200mg per day.

1-Andro Review Bodybuilding

I found this to be a relatively weak compound, so I went with 200mg for my first cycle. The gains were average, nothing special.

After your cycle is complete, a post cycle therapy must be used.

This made me search for better products. I’ve been using Sapogenix by Huge Nutrition, a similar product, but it’s more potent yet does not require PCT.

I’ve gained more size with Sapogenix in 6 weeks than I did during my 8-week cycle of 1-Andro. That should give you an idea of how good it is.

Does 1-Andro Cause Side Effects?

I’ll be honest with you; there’s not a whole lot of clinical data available on the side effects of 1-Andro.

Many producers will claim that it’s side effect free, but when you read a few user experiences, you’ll quickly conclude that that isn’t the case.

Users report testosterone suppression, back pumps, and headaches.

The fact that it suppresses testosterone means you will require a post cycle therapy. It’s not liver toxic so you won’t need to have cycle support on hand.

This is extremely important, so make sure to get yourself a potent post cycle therapy supplement like Rebirth PCT.

It’ll help you properly recover and keep the gains.

If you plan to use 1-Andro, keep in mind that it can cause side effects, so be prepared.

It’s another reason why we aren’t huge fans of this legal prohormone. We recommend checking out other alternatives.

Stacking 1-Andro With 4-Andro

You’ve probably heard people speaking about stacking 1 Andro with 4 Andro. Many users think one compound by itself is too weak and adds a second product to the cycle.

I haven’t used a 1 Andro 4 Andro muscle building stack, but I don’t think stacking them together will be worth it.

The stack will be more suppressive, meaning you’ll need a strong PCT to recover or lose the gains you’ve made.

1 Andro side effects

With that said, the andro prohormones are quite expensive.

One bottle usually costs $100, and you’ll need several of them. Add a PCT to that, and you’re looking at a few hundred bucks for a cycle.

We’ve had better results with Sapogenix; it’s a prohormone-like product that doesn’t require PCT. In my opinion, it’s a legal steroid.

If you do plan to run a 1 Andro 4 Andro stack, make sure to prepare everything in advance.

A post cycle therapy with Rebirth afterward is a must, don’t skip out on it.

Do We Recommend 1-Andro?

If you’ve been researching 1-Andro, you’re probably looking for a safe yet effective way to gain mass.

We’ve tried a 1-Andro cycle, and to be honest, it didn’t do a lot for us. We were expecting far more from it based on the reviews we’ve read.

It’ll probably help you gain some size, but the fact that it causes testosterone suppression and such makes us steer away from it.

We found that Sapogenix by Huge Nutrition is a better alternative to any type of andro prohormone.

Sapogenix contains steroidal sapogenins with anabolic effects. These sapogenins will help you improve lean muscle mass, strength, and power.

It’s as strong as 1-Andro if not stronger and doesn’t require a PCT.

We’ve also written about Epicatechin and Laxogenin, two very promising natural supplements that could assist in building muscle. Check out our articles to learn more.

The Bottom Line

1-Andro (1-DHEA) is one of the few legal prohormones left. It’s a better muscle-building supplement than most of the supplements in the industry, but it’s nothing too special.

It can help with boosting muscle mass, strength, and recovery. If you’re looking for a product that can help you gain a few lbs, it’s worth a shot.

However, it does come with side effects, so make sure that you are aware of that. PCT after a cycle is highly recommended for maintaining gains.

We won’t be using 1-Andro again due to the unsatisfactory results. We’re into our second cycle of Sapogenix and making much better gains.

We will also be testing a lot of other new products to see what capabilities they have when it comes to gaining size and strength.
