The programmer needs to create a directory structure to organize files. The basic decisions are whether to organize by type of files (have separate text, media, graphics files) or to organize by WBT sections, like sessions or chapters. The decision is based on whether a file will be used throughout the WBT or a specific session. The goal is to eliminate the duplication of files since files are often updated. If there are multiple iterations of files in different directories, it is very difficult to assure all are the most recent version.
