Institute Schedule

The Inclusion Institute started at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 and ended at 12:30 pm on Thursday, July 24, 2008. The Institute was held at The William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Click here for a map to the Friday Center. A limited number of tours of the FPG Child Care Center were offered Tuesday, July 22, and Wednesday, July 23.

National Early Childhood TA Center (NECTAC)

Brookes Publishing was a contributing sponsor of the lunch at the Friday Center Trillium Room on Wednesday, July 23rd for all participants. For 30 years, Brookes Publishing has been a leading provider of resources on education, disabilities, child development, early intervention, communication, language, behavior, and mental health. An independent company, Brookes Publishing is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Brookes also hosted an exhibit at the Institute. The exhibit featured their early childhood/early intervention publications which could be purchased on site at a special discount. Kaplan Early Learning Company was a contributing sponsor of the 2008 Inclusion Institute. Located in Lewisville, North Carolina, near Winston-Salem, the company specializes in providing products that lay the foundation for early learning which helps children prepare for life long success. Their catalog and showroom contain thousands of products (such as toys that teach) selected to meet the needs of educators serving children from infancy to 8th Grade. Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

CEUs were available to conference participants through the Friday Center for Continuing Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Registration Fee

$225 (includes continental breakfasts, breaks, Wednesday lunch, and all conference materials. An optional tour of the FPG Child Care Center was available for $20.)
