A special strand will be provided by the staff of the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning and the Center for Evidence-based Practice: Young Children with Challenging Behavior. Faculty members will offer sessions designed to assist teachers, therapists and program administrators in promoting young children’s social emotional development and addressing challenging behavior. A comprehensive prevention, promotion, and intervention framework will be described which integrates evidence-based practices to address the social-emotional and behavioral needs of young children and their families. Resources developed collaboratively by the two centers for training program personnel and supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices will be shared.
