These three modules were developed for the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Program in the Department of Early Learning by the Washington Systems Improvement Project Team in 2011. There are three modules:
Each moculde includes voice-over-presentation materials with all accompanying handouts, resources and activities. They are designed to be self-paced so that learners may decide how much time is spent on each topic. Each module contains activities that check knowledge and encourage self-reflection on current practices. Each module also contains capstone activities to be completed at the end of all topics.

This module reviews the foundations of the Washington Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program, including the mission, key principles, and rules and laws that govern the system. This module also introduces some evidence-based practices in early intervention, the processes of the early intervention program, and provides both an outline of and examples demonstrating what early intervention looks like in practice.
Target audience: anyone who wants to learn more about early intervention; all new early intervention practitioners and Family Resources Coordinators.
This module describes the assessment process of the Washington ESIT program. The module also details the differences between evaluation and assessment, and how to collect information in the initial visit to facilitate planning for meaningful functional assessment in natural environments. The module describes effective ways to communicate assessment results with families and how to seamlessly implement ongoing assessment.
Target audience: ESIT early intervention practitioners; Family Resources Coordinators
This module will cover the intent of the IFSP team meeting and roles of participants. Topics include an introduction to the IFSP process, a description of how to develop an iFSP during IFSP teammeetings, and the IFSP review process.
