Federal Statute

On Friday, November 19, 2004, both houses of Congress passed legislation to reauthorize IDEA. On December 3, 2004, President Bush signed H.R. 1350 into law. It is now known as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004, Public Law 108-446.

Federal Regulations

On August 14, 2006 the Federal Regulations for Part B of IDEA 2004 were published in the Federal Register. On May 9, 2007, the Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers With Disabilities; Proposed Rule was published in the Federal Register. Comments must be received on or before July 23, 2007.
