NECTAC’s Gateway to
Scientific Literature is integral to our
role in linking people and knowledge. Through our working
relationships with knowledge producers and users at all
levels: researchers, policy makers, practitioners, families
and advocates for young children with special needs, we
identify new information resources and share them via our
Web site, discussion groups, and eNotes.
Update on changes to
ERIC
NECTAC was formerly associated with the ERIC system as an Adjunct Clearinghouse on
Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education. The ERIC Clearinghouses
closed on December 31, 2003 and the new ERIC online system, developed by the Computer Sciences
Corporation (CSC) of Rockville, MD and its subcontractors (Research
Triangle Institute of Research Triangle Park, NC; NATECH of Coos Bay,
OR; DB Consulting of Silver Spring, MD; and CurrenTech, Inc. of
Columbia, MD) was released on September 1, 2004.
The ERIC database and ERIC News can now be accessed online at
http://www.eric.ed.gov.
The ERIC system is now accepting submissions via the Beta version of its
Online Submission System . This system enables individual contributors to
submit non-journal materials that will be considered for inclusion in the ERIC database.
